Prairie County is steeped in western history and loaded with charm and hospitality. Visit us and discover the rugged beauty of eastern Montana.

Dale and Kathy Galland

Two peas in a pod, this dynamic husband and wife duo owns and operates Prairie Unique, a hobby shop and boutique featuring Made in Montana products.  Be sure to stop in and say hello!  You will be treated to a piece of saltwater taffy, a smile, and a story from one of Prairie County’s most welcoming couples.

Glenda Ueland

Sassy doesn’t begin to describe this energetic community advocate, who just happens to own and operate Sassy One Clothing – a lovely shop chock-full of women’s fashions and gifts, located in downtown Terry.  Glenda is also the chairperson for the Evelyn Cameron Heritage, Inc., board of directors.  She loves small-town life in Terry and is happy to introduce visitors to everything Prairie County has to offer!

Lance Kalfell

A local farmer/rancher and an avid history buff, Lance has spent his entire life in Prairie County and is more than willing to treat visitors to the occasional tour.  He spearheaded the Terry Badlands Trail brochure project and serves on several local and regional boards.  He is a font of knowledge and recently published a book about Montana history – not to mention, he makes an excellent adventuring companion!

Edward (Eddie) Gaub

A kind-hearted local accountant, turned photographer, Edward (Eddie, to his friends) has been shepherding residents and visitors through the Prairie County countryside for over 20 yrs.  He is now retired, but you can find him most mornings and early afternoons in his shop two doors down from the hardware store.  He can tell you all about Terry’s illicit bootlegging past, and you will most certainly be treated to a visual tour of his impressive photograph collection!
